3. How We Share Your Information

3.1 With Other Users

To facilitate rides, we share certain information:

• Passengers see: Driver name, photo, vehicle details, license plate, rating, real-time location during trip
• Drivers see: Passenger name, pickup/drop-off locations, phone number (masked)

3.2 With Service Providers

We share data with the following third parties to operate the SwiftDeal service. Each provider offers equivalent or stronger data protections than SwiftDeal:

• Google LLC (Firebase Realtime Database, Firebase Authentication, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Google Cloud Functions, Google Maps Platform, Google Play Billing, Google Play Speech Services on Android) — for data storage, authentication, push notifications, mapping, in-app purchases, and (Android only) speech-to-text transcription of voice commands. • Apple Inc. (App Store, StoreKit In-App Purchase, Apple Push Notification Service, system keyboard dictation) — for app distribution, subscription billing, push notifications on iOS, and (when a user taps the iOS keyboard 🎤 dictation key) the platform's own speech recognition service. • ipapi.co and ipinfo.io — used only for approximate IP-based geolocation when precise GPS is unavailable, returning approximate city/country (not your IP address) to our app. No personally identifying data is sent to these services beyond your IP address (which they already receive automatically as a normal HTTP request header).

The standard ride-hailing "AI Voice Assistant" on Android uses only the device's built-in speech recognition; the transcribed text is interpreted locally within the app by simple keyword matching, with no call to any external AI service. Separately, drivers who choose to turn on the optional, paid SwiftDeal Co-Pilot Pro features (see the section "SwiftDeal Co-Pilot Pro" below) DO send limited data to a third-party AI provider (Google). Aside from those opt-in Co-Pilot Pro features, SwiftDeal does not share user data with any third-party AI or large language model provider.

3.3 For Legal Purposes

We may disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of SwiftDeal, users, or the public.

4. Voice and Speech Recognition (Android Only)

On Android, SwiftDeal includes an optional AI Voice Assistant that lets you book rides hands-free by speaking commands such as "Book a ride to Half Way Tree" or "Call driver". When you tap the microphone button and speak:

• What data is captured: Your voice audio is captured by the device's microphone, and only while you are actively pressing/using the voice button.
• Where the data is sent: Your voice audio is transmitted to Google LLC's speech recognition service (via the browser's SpeechRecognition API). It is not sent to OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, Microsoft, or any other third-party AI service.
• What we receive: Only the transcribed text returned by Google's service. SwiftDeal does not record, store, or retain the raw audio at any point.
• How the text is used: The transcribed text is processed on your device by simple keyword matching to extract booking parameters (e.g. destination address). These parameters are then used in exactly the same way as if you had typed them manually into the booking form.
• Your control: You may decline microphone access at any time. SwiftDeal works fully via text input if you do not enable the voice assistant; no feature is gated on voice access.
• Third-party processing: Google's processing of your voice audio is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. We do not control Google's data handling beyond what we have described here.

Before any voice audio is captured, the app requests microphone permission via the operating system's standard permission prompt, which discloses the use to you and requires your explicit approval. You may revoke this permission at any time through your device settings.

SwiftDeal Co-Pilot Pro — Optional AI Features (Drivers Only)

Co-Pilot Pro adds an in-car assistant for drivers — including AI vehicle guidance ("Swift Mechanic"), a local area guide, and hands-free question answering. To provide these, the specific request you make is sent to a third-party AI provider for processing.

Third-Party AI Provider

These features are powered by Google LLC's Gemini API (Google AI). Google's processing of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and the Gemini API Terms. Under Google's paid API terms, prompts submitted through the API are not used to train Google's models.

What Is Sent

• The text of the request you type or speak to Co-Pilot (for example, a description of a vehicle symptom or a question).
• For vehicle guidance: your vehicle description as stored on your driver account (for example, make/model/type).
• For the local area guide: your approximate, rounded GPS coordinates, so the response is relevant to where you are.

What is NOT sent: your name, email, phone number, account ID, uploaded documents, payment details, and precise identifying information are not transmitted to the AI provider.

Caching

To keep the feature affordable, SwiftDeal stores AI answers (and, for the area guide, the approximate area they relate to) so a common question does not have to be re-processed each time. These cached answers do not contain personal identifiers.

Your Control & Safety

• Co-Pilot Pro is entirely optional and off by default. You can use SwiftDeal fully without it.
• AI vehicle guidance is general information for everyday issues — it is not a certified mechanic, an official repair manual, or a diagnostic guarantee. Always have safety-critical systems (brakes, steering, suspension, tyres) inspected by a qualified professional.
• Co-Pilot safety features (such as crash detection and emergency alerts) are best-effort aids and are not a substitute for calling your local emergency services.

6. Your Rights & Choices

5.1 Access & Correction

You have the right to access, correct, or update your personal information through your account settings or by contacting us.

5.2 Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account by contacting us at swiftdealrides@gmail.com. Some information may be retained for legal compliance.

5.3 Location Permissions

You can control location sharing through your device settings. Note that disabling location will prevent you from using ride services.

5.4 Marketing Communications

You can opt out of promotional emails by clicking "unsubscribe" or contacting us.

7. Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your information:

• Encryption: Data transmitted via HTTPS/TLS encryption
• Access Controls: Limited access to personal data on need-to-know basis
• Secure Infrastructure: Hosted on Google Cloud with industry-standard security

While we strive to protect your data, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

8. Children's Privacy

SwiftDeal is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 18, we will delete it promptly.

9. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries outside Jamaica, including the United States (where our cloud infrastructure is located). By using SwiftDeal, you consent to these transfers.

10. Third-Party Links

Our Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy and sending notifications. Your continued use of the Service after changes indicates acceptance.
